Club

Adam Street is a private members' club made for work by day and play by night. It is designed to help the budding entrepreneur or frantic freelancer (or self-employed, jack-of-all-trades, genius or whatever) in their day-to-day working and social life. Our facilities include a bar, restaurant, library, meeting rooms and a dance floor.

Basically if you are independent and intelligent, with enough initiative and character to go it on your own, or with a small team, and especially if you find it hard to separate your personal and work affairs, then you probably need a bit of Adam Street in your life.

Work

Adam Street is an ideal base for business during the day. Take advantage of the WiFi in the bar and restaurant with other members or, if you need perfect peace and quiet, then set yourself up in the library. We have private meeting rooms and a range of other services to support your business from photocopying to office space in Adam House above the club.

Bar

As an Adam Street member, the bar is an ideal place to plot over a cappuccino (or indeed a Cosmopolitan if it is the very best variety of business meeting). 9 ‘til 6 sees the buzzing industrious community; after dark, thoughts turn to play.

Library

This has one of the most precious commodities in London; peace and quiet. Use one of our computers or hook your laptop up to the internet. As is traditional in most libraries there is a good selection of books from the latest legal references to a history of the mullet and of course you may elegantly loaf and use it to catch a quick forty winks on the sofa.

Meeting Rooms

Although the whole club is designed for meetings, you may require a more private or confidential meeting place and we have a variety of meeting rooms in the club or in the serviced offices above the club. These rooms are available to non-members. Please contact Yvonne@adamstreet.co.uk

Offices

Adam House serviced offices are located 7–10 Adam Street, above the club. This provides fully functioning offices from 1 to 22 desks on monthly terms with full business support services. For a small monthly fee you can also have a virtual office service, which gives you your own telephone number, fax line and the use of our postal address. www.adamhouse.co.uk

Play

Hurrah for not wandering around the West End when the pub has called last orders, yet you haven't quite finished your fun-making for the evening - Adam Street has a 3am licence! Unpretentious DJs and charming bar staff serve up funky tunes and fabulous cocktails in a club where you can choose to trip the light fantastic or chat wittily, at home amongst friends rather than feeling inescapably trapped in a monosyllabic meat market. Solving another of life's little battles for you...

Bar

You may need to oil the wheels of commerce with a drink or two and the bar at Adam Street is the heart of the club. We could regale you with talk of the latest mixology fads. We can do anything but would like to stress the good staples of the bar like our espresso Martinis, our magical Mojitos or the perfect Old Fashioned. You may wish to check out the ‘Wall of Fame’ a selection of cocktails created by the collaboration between Adam Street members and top mixologists.

Dancing

The club has a licence until 3am and we like to take advantage of this by having as much fun as possible – dancing our way into the weekend.

Parties

We like to think that having a party at Adam Street is like having a party at home but with better drinks, nicer music and without the hassle of clearing up in the morning. The two main rooms for hire are the Gallery and Rehearsal Room, that said the Snug can be useful for a cheeky late night poker game. For terribly special occasions we might hire out the whole club. If you have any questions then please get in touch with our lady of the diary, Yvonne who can organise every aspect of your evening for you (Yvonne@adamstreet.co.uk).

Events

Making fun is very important to us here at Adam Street, and while talks and networking events we run are useful, often the best way to bond with a new business partner or friend in the making is in a far more relaxed setting. We organise wine-tastings, jazz dinners, cocktail training evenings, monthly comedy nights (past acts include Reginald D Hunter, Stephen K Amos, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, Simon Amstell etc.) and we always throw big summer and Christmas drinks parties so members in their growing companies do not feel like they are missing out on the corporate jollies they left behind. This is just a flavour of our events and we are always open to new ideas.

Concierge

Adam Street has its very own free hotline to the country's most professional concierge service TEN UK. The weirder the request, the more excited they get. They can make your domestic life more blissful, get you access to the right restaurants and clubs and help you sort out your travel problems. Covering everything from nannies to plumbers, hotels to cars, presents to home deliveries and dog-walkers to chimney sweeps; they can do pretty much anything - as long as it's legal..."
